I love working on the web. Everything is constantly changing. There’s always something new and interesting. I like that. Freelancing was the same way. One day I would have tons of work to do, the next I’d be looking for more. My schedule was very sporadic. I never knew exactly what I’d be doing the next day. I never knew what suprise would be thrown my way.
When I was given the opportunity to take a full-time job I thought that would be cool. It would be more relaxed and less sporadic. I was excited for the change of pace. And for the 10 days I was there, it was a nice change of pace.
Integrum is awesome. I already told you how cool they are. It was fun working with them. I learned a lot about having a “real” job and what it’s like to work with a team. It was really cool working there and I thank them for the experience.
But as of Monday of this week I’ve started a new job working at Global Alerts, “the leading Cause Media company since 1991.” They run Earth 911, Pets 911, and the Amber Alert website. As you can tell there’s plenty of work to do.
It’s been a really interesting week. I’ve learned a lot and I’m having fun doing it. It don’t get better than that!
You mean you really quit your job that fast? And what are you doing at Global Alerts, more design stuff full-time?

Yeah I quit pretty quickly. It’s not like I was planning on it, it was just weird timing. And yes, at Global Alerts I’m doing design and HTML/CSS work, mostly.

I love Innovation also. It is awesome to see how rapidly ruby and rails is developing as well as the seriousness people are giving to web 2.0 scalability problems.
