College and the SAT Test

I took the SAT test on Saturday and I hated it. It wasn’t even that hard, I just didn’t want to do it. The test was from 8 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon and I really didn’t want to spend my Saturday morning taking a test. I didn’t do anything to study or prepare for it and I almost completely forgot about it until late Friday night.

The test is split into 10 sections, the first of which is 25 minutes long and you are required to write a short essay on a particular topic. Luckily, my topic was simple and it didn’t take me long to get an idea and start writing. The rest of the test contains six more 25 minute sections, two 20 minute sections, and one 10 minute section at the end. We could leave as soon as we finished the 10 minute section and it was obvious that everyone was rushing through that part so they could finally leave. I think I did ok on it but I’m definitely not going to have a prefect score. I’ll be able to find out my score on the 19th. But what do I need to do after that?

Web design/development is what I want to do for a living and what I want to study in college. Right now my plans are to attend MCC to take my core classes and then transfer to ASU to get a bachelors degree in either Computer Science or Computer Information Systems but I don’t know which one would be best. I’ve talked about this with my counselor at school but she wasn’t able to help me very much so I’m wondering what your suggestions are. Many of the people who read this have been through college or are currently in college and know a whole lot more than I do about this career field. I’d love to know what your thoughts are and what you think would be the best thing for me to do. I am very open to ideas and willing to change my plans for better ones. Let me know what you think by sending me an email or posting a comment.
