I was one of the 40 or so people at the Refresh Phoenix meeting last night and to briefly describe it, it was awesome! All I could do was listen and try to learn as much as I could from the wide variety of people who attended. Being in the presence of so many web development geniuses was by far the best thing I’ve ever done to expand my knowledge of this rapidly growing and constantly changing career field. There were so many interesting people there who I would love to talk with and get to know better. The meeting officially started at 7:00 and ended at 8:00 but many people, including myself, showed up early to chat and some also stayed after to talk some more. Unfortunately, I had to get home and finish up my homework so I couldn't stay too long. Being the youngest one at the meeting I was worried that I might feel awkward being there but I soon forgot about that. Everyone I talked to was really cool and more helpful than they probably know. I'd like to thank Aaron Post, James Archer, James Britt, and Dan Ritz for starting up Refresh Phoenix. I know it will be extremely beneficial to the web development community here in Phoenix and a great learning opportunity for many people like me.
Update: More pictures of the meeting thanks to James Archer. See if you can find me!
