Google Scares Me

Google makes my life easier and I use a number of their products on a daily basis. I use Gmail for all my email accounts. I keep a weekly schedule using Google Calendar. I save important data with Google Spreadsheets. I use Google Groups to communicate and participate in various social groups on the web. I use Google AdSense to make some extra cash on my websites. I use Google Analytics to track the visitors I receive on my websites. I read blogs created by Google’s Blogger. Google keeps my search history so I can go back to pages I’ve already been to. I use Google Maps so I don’t get lost. I browse Google Video and play with Google Earth when I get really bored and I use Google’s …

Forced Efficiency

I love soccer.

Now that the World Cup games are on TV everyday, I spend less time working and more time on the couch. The problem with this is that I still have work that needs to be done but less time to do it. There’s no way I’ll be able to force myself to turn off the TV so instead I’ve forced myself to be more efficient in my other daily tasks.

Blog Reading
To save time I’ve cut down on the number of feeds that are currently in my feed reader. Originally I had 165 feeds and I’ve shortened the list down to 125 feeds. There are a few more I should probably get rid of but for now I’m just happy to have shortened the list that much. I’ve written before about how to be an efficient blog reader …

Inspirational Quote of the Month – June

Who doesn’t love a good quote? Seriously. Everybody loves a good quote. My all-time favorite quote is from MJ. No, not Matt Jones or Michael Jackson but Michael Jordan. He said:

“I can accept failure, but I can’t accept not trying.”

I love that. I think it describes entrepreneurism really well and it inspires me to try new things.

What’s your favorite quote?

Happy To Be Home

I spent the past week in North Carolina with my best friend and it made me realize how much I like Arizona. North Carolina was fun and everything but I’m so used to living in Arizona that anything else seems like a foreign country to me. The streets are different, the buildings are different, the weather is different, the water tastes funny, and the people talk with an accent.

I had a great time with my friend in North Carolina but I’m happy to be home and I’m happy that I live in Arizona. My life would be completely different if I lived anywhere else. Traveling lets me see things from a different perspective and I hope I have the opportunity to travel a lot while I’m still young.

Leaving On A Jetplane

All my bags are packed and I’m ready to go. My best friend since 4th grade is moving to North Carolina and I’m going with him. I’m leaving tomorrow morning but don’t worry, I’ll be back in a week. Sadly he won’t be coming back with me but no worries. He’ll be back soon enough. I just hope he has an internet connection at his new house. 🙂

That’s Mike on the left. He’s the shorter one. Too bad he doesn’t read this.

It has been well over a year since I went without using the internet for a whole week. That must be how you know you’re a geek.

I’d like to say that I’m thowing him a going away party (we’ve been partying since graduation!) but tonight is Refresh …
