A Post a Day for a Week

Many of you probably noticed that I published a new post everyday this week. I mostly did this to see if I could but I also did it to see how it would effect readership and my number of visitors. One of my goals for this year was to write more often but I wasn’t sure how often I should write. This is my blog where I talk about stuff that interests me but I really hope you can get something out of it and enjoy it as much as I do. I have fun running a blog even if not many people read it but I also don’t want to waste time on it. Writing a new post everyday hasn’t been that hard but I don’t know if that is what you or I want.

Redesign = Incredible Headaches

Yes the site has been redesigned (again). This is the third design that this site has had since it’s launch 3 months ago. With the new design I’ve also added a few cool plugins to the blog. I love redesigning my own site. It’s lots of fun but it also means lots of headaches. I hope you like it because I’m going to try to stick with the same design for the next few months. After awhile I get bored of the look of my site since I see it everyday but I’m going to try and resist the temptation to change everything. If you do find any bugs, errors, or messups please lt me know. There’s no school today because it’s Matin Luther King’s birthday so enjoy the redesign and have a wonderful MLK day!

23 Down, 1 To Go

That’s right. I’ve completed 23 semesters of school. Today was the first day of my last semester. I’m at the stage where I both hate school and love it. I want to go just so I can get it over with but then again I’d rather not go at all. It wouldn’t be that bad if their were no homework, but that only happens in my dreams. If it weren’t for sports I’d get so bored.

On a brighter note mattbobjones.com was accepted into another CSS gallery today. The site is called CSS nightingale and you can seee my site here. I think I’ve submitted my site to all of the CSS galleries I’ve come across and unfortunately only a few of them have accepted it. To tell you the truth I’m suprised I got accepted into as many …

Finishing a Project

Today I released my current project, AvidLaw. The site was completed much quicker than I had expected because of the Task Progress Tracker that I’ve been using and I’m very pleased on how it turned out. Today was another great day, AvidLaw has already been accepted by Screenspire and I’m waiting to see if any other sites will accept it aswell.

I love the feeling of completing a project but I can’t wait to get started on the next one. I’ve found that by using the Task Progress Tracker I get a lot more done but once I complete a project, putting a check in the done box just isn’t satisfying enough. Dave Seah agrees and has created another version the Task Progress Tracker called the Task Progress Destruct-o-Matic Edition. In this …

Matt Bob Jones 2.0 Launched

After hours of staring at my monitor and pounding on my keyboard I am proud to present you with Matt Bob Jones 2.0. When I decided to redo the site I had a few goals in mind that I wanted to accomplish. One of my goals was to add a second column that would allow for easier access to the blog and provide an area that I could use to share some of my favorite links with everyone (haven’t added them yet). One of my other goals was to use WordPress as much as possible so that managing the site is simple and less time-consuming. My last goal was to create a completely table-less site with valid XHTML and CSS. Why? Becaouse I can and because the benefits of using web …
