Sorry if the title confused you but I’m not doing a post about the future of blog networks. Atleast not right now.
SXSW is in March and I’m really excited about going. As you may know already, the panel picker is open again for a second round of picking and I was able to submit The Future of Blog Networks as a panel topic. The panel description says:
New blog networks are starting up all the time but many people still don’t know what a blog network is. Blog networks have already begun to change the blogosphere for better and will play a big role in the future of blogging. This panel will discuss the future of blog networks, what they are, how they operate, and how they can help you.
The description is kinda cheesy but basically it’s a panel …
Hello everyone. It’s been a while.
College is going well. I don’t have very much homework and my teachers are pretty cool. I go to school from 7 - 12 Monday and Wednesday and 7 - 8 on Fridays so my schedule is great.
Refresh Phoenix is planning an Unconference and it looks like it’s going to really cool. I just hope I can help out.
You may have noticed that this site was down for a few days this past week. The server that all of my sites were on had some problems and I’ve decided to switch hosts for now. This site is now running on Zanzaban’s servers. If you’re looking for hosting Zanzaban has a great service and really good prices. Just fill out the contact form on the site and let him know how you found …
Blog network owners like to argue. Why? Because they all have their own ideas of how a blog network should be run. They’re also very protective of the network they’ve built and why shouldn’t they be? I’m very proud of Random Shapes and every other blog network owner out there should be proud of his/her own network.
From what I’ve noticed, blog network owners are thinkers and they aren’t afraid to voice their opinions. They use their blogs to voice their opinions but if they dare mention another blog network then wars begin. Eventually peace talks are made and each network has a better understanding of each other but they still don’t agree. So why do arguements get to be so personal? It does no good. Give advice and get people thinking but don’t criticize people …
Brainstorming helps me think through things and this time I thought I’d share my brainstorming with you. I might do this again about other things because it was an easy post to write and because it helps.
Hmm, what is there to say about Random Shapes…
yeah right.
Random Shapes is a blog network with two goals. 1) Encourage good blogging among teens. 2) Create a community of awesome teens that network with each other and therefore become even awesomer.
Why? Because we all know that teens don’t have the greatest reputation on the web and because we can. Why not, right? Definitely can’t hurt to try.
So how are we going to accomplish these goals? We form a blog network and let only the best in. Then we tell people how cool it is so that they want to join. Teens improve …
It seems more and more blog networks are getting started and I’m glad a teen blog network is among them. Today David Askaripour announced he’s starting an Entrepreneur Blog Network, The Cowboy announced a few days ago that he’s starting his own blogging collective and I know of a few others in the works.
Now-a-days it seems almost everyone has a blog so how long will it be until everyone is in a blog network too?
