Task Management Tracker, Day 14

Today marks two weeks of using the Task Progress Tracker. I’m still using it and I still love it. Dave commented that “It’ll be interesting to see if you even need the form after two weeks.” I’m proud to say that I don’t need to use the form anymore but I still use it because I like it so much. It’s such a useful tool not only for tracking tasks and motivating you to get started but it also helps track time and let me see my progress on paper. Even though I still use the form I don’t use it as often as I used to. I don’t need to. If I use it as much as I did when I first started I’d probably feel like I was wasting time. Now I mostly use it as a …

Finishing a Project

Today I released my current project, AvidLaw. The site was completed much quicker than I had expected because of the Task Progress Tracker that I’ve been using and I’m very pleased on how it turned out. Today was another great day, AvidLaw has already been accepted by Screenspire and I’m waiting to see if any other sites will accept it aswell.

I love the feeling of completing a project but I can’t wait to get started on the next one. I’ve found that by using the Task Progress Tracker I get a lot more done but once I complete a project, putting a check in the done box just isn’t satisfying enough. Dave Seah agrees and has created another version the Task Progress Tracker called the Task Progress Destruct-o-Matic Edition. In this …

Task Management Tracker, Day 3

My productivity the past few days has been better than it has been in a long time. As long as I keep the chart where I can see it when I work, I stay focused on what I’m doing. If I leave it somewhere else, I’m more likely to waste my time wandering around other cool websites. The Task Progress Tracker gets me motivated to get started on projects. Once I get started I begin to gain momentum and lose track of how long it has been. Sometime next week I’ll be releasing the current project I’m working on earlier than I had estimated and it’s all because I’ve added this new way of working to my daily routine.Dave made an great comment yesterday, he said, “It’ll be interesting to see if you even need the …

Task Management Tracker, Day 2

I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying using the Task Progress Tracker. The system is great for people who have trouble getting started on those really tough projects. I’ve been much more productive lately and have had more time to read up on some of my favorite blogs. I’m going to try to start teaching myself AJAX tomorrow and the main project that I have been working on lately is going to be released even sooner than I had planned.I’m still looking fot more time management techniques to try out with with this one. If you know of any good ones that you might have heard about let me know!

Task Management Tracker, Day 1

As I mentioned yesterday I have decided to use David Seah’s Task Management Tracker to help manage my time better and hopefully get more stuff done. I really like it so far because it allows me to manage both my time and my projects on a single piece of paper. After only a day I find tha getting started on projects is much easier. I see the empty bubbles on the paper and instead of getting depressed because I still have a huge project to finish, I tell myself to work on it for 15 minutes just so I can fill in a bubble. Once the 15 minutes were finally up I got to mark the bubble, but then the bubble was lonely. I continued to work towards marking the next bubble. After an hour went by I had …
