The city of Scottsdale with permission from the Arizona Department of Transportation has begun a 9-month program to slow down traffic on Loop 101. The “photo enforcement cameras” were put in place on Sunday and caught more then 1000 speeding drivers on the first day.
“Speeders can officially start worrying about being caught by the cameras on Feb. 21, when citations averaging $157 will be issued. The stationary cameras stretch long a 7.8-mile leg of Loop 101. Scottsdale is the first city in the nation to digitally patrol a state freeway.”
Well aren’t we lucky. We get to have fines before anyone else in the country. According to the article on the azcentral.com website there are going to be 6 cameras in between Scottsdale Road and 90th …
I should have written this on day 30 because that sounds better but I forgot. I should also apologize to Dave because in all my titles I’ve been calling it the Task Management Tracker when it is really called the Task Progress Tracker. Sorry Dave!
Things have beeen quite hectic for me lately with the funeral, a new site I need to finish, the added homework from missing 3 days of school, and another project I’m working on. During these busier times I am even more grateful for the TPT. I’m pretty good at motivating myself forward but it’s always nice to have an extra reminder. It also helps me keep track of everything I need to do. Sometimes I’ll have so much stuff I need to do that I’ll forget something. This is partly my …
“Nearly three in five school-age teens with Internet access have created online content, including Web pages with artwork, photos and stories - and about a fifth have their own blogs, which also allow friends and other readers to create feedback postings.
Those are some of the findings from a survey of 12- to 17-year-olds conducted by the Pew Internet and American Life Project.
The survey also found that older school-age girls with online access were most likely to keep a blog. About a quarter of girls, ages 15 to 17, did so, compared with 15 percent of boys in that age group.”
What? 1 in 5 teens is 20%. If 20% of teens blog, how come I don’t know any of them? Lately I’ve been looking for other good teen bloggers and I’ve only found a handful. How come no one I know …
My Uncle Joel past away Sunday, January 15, 2006. I’m leaving for his funeral in California tomorrow and won’t be back until Sunday. I’m not sure if this is the appropriate place to talk about him but I felt I should let you know where I will be for the next few days. Death is always sad but it helps to know that he is in a much better place and that I will be able to see him again some day. Joel is survived by his incredible wife and four awesome kids. His death came as a total suprise to everyone but I’m glad I got to see him as recently as I did. Due to family activites our schedules don’t always work together but we were fortunate enough to see Joel and his family just a month ago. …
Yes the site has been redesigned (again). This is the third design that this site has had since it’s launch 3 months ago. With the new design I’ve also added a few cool plugins to the blog. I love redesigning my own site. It’s lots of fun but it also means lots of headaches. I hope you like it because I’m going to try to stick with the same design for the next few months. After awhile I get bored of the look of my site since I see it everyday but I’m going to try and resist the temptation to change everything. If you do find any bugs, errors, or messups please lt me know. There’s no school today because it’s Matin Luther King’s birthday so enjoy the redesign and have a wonderful MLK day!
